10% for cuttings?

What does that even mean and why do you need it?

In the tile industry, its referred to as Wastage. We don't like that term. Its confusing and sounds unnecessary. However, its actually quite the opposite. It's very important, and without it, you run the risk of not having enough tiles for your project come tiling day.

At TileHaus, we call it what it is. Its 10% for cuttings. 10% for improper cuts, extra cuts and damage during installation. It's also a good idea to keep a few extra tiles on hand (under the house) in case there is damage later on and needs replacing. Then you won't have to worry about your tiles being discontinued.

We've made it easy to add 10% for cuttings to your order. It's pre-selected when you add your items to cart.

Your tiler might have already built the 10% for cuttings into your measurements, so best to check with them first.

It's much better to order a little too much and have leftovers, than to run out on installation day, and need to order more, THEN get your tiler back to finish the job. We also can't promise that the additional tiles ordered are from the same batch as your first order, so colors may vary slightly.
